The local read
Michigan is a drive, not a flight, and the work there has run from Farmington Hills and Dearborn to Clarkston, Traverse City and points north.
The real brief
Which makes the stakes higher than the run sheet suggests, because two things are working against Michigan company events right now.
Between remote work, rapid hiring and the pace of the last few years, a lot of companies now hold an annual party where a third of the room is meeting each other for the first time. Gallup measures the result: engagement at 20 percent globally, and only two in ten people with a real friend at work.
So much of the circuit now leans political or works blue, and you usually find out which in front of your entire company. One bad ten minutes and the night everyone was supposed to enjoy becomes the thing HR is fielding emails about.
What a room actually needs is clean, genuinely funny, and built so everybody leaves feeling connected and appreciated. That is the whole design brief here.
The business case, in four numbers
Feeling appreciated keeps people. Feeling connected makes them productive. Neither shows up on an invoice, and both show up in your turnover report.
Run those numbers against one night of your payroll and the math stops being a debate. An event that creates a genuine shared memory is not a nice-to-have on the culture budget. It is a retention tool that happens to be fun, and it is the only one your people will voluntarily talk about for months.
How the hour is built
Every piece is chosen twice: once because it plays, and once because it carries part of the message. That is why the ending lands instead of arriving like a lecture bolted onto a magic show.
There is a moment in the stage show that is a team-building exercise wearing a magic trick as a disguise. It only works if the whole room commits, and it ends with one of your people genuinely invisible. That is the piece they describe to each other in the parking lot, and the piece I would rather you see than read about.

The demo reel
Real stages, real rooms, real reactions. If you are deciding whether this fits your Michigan event, start here.
On the ground
Plus a commercial insurance carrier’s event in Farmington Hills, a rehabilitation practice’s corporate evening at Oakhurst Golf and Country Club and a specialty food retailer’s night at the City Opera House in Traverse City. Most clients are covered by confidentiality agreements, so they stay unnamed here.
Who books this here
Michigan work has run through commercial insurance, healthcare and rehabilitation, higher education, real estate brokerage and specialty retail, from metro Detroit up through Clarkston and as far north as Traverse City.
“I looked all over for what kind of entertainment would fit our office and absolutely hit a home run. About 40 people, and they are still talking about it and posting about it. I can’t recommend him enough.”

Planning notes
Michigan is a drive rather than a flight, which keeps the quote well under fly-in pricing even for the northern dates. Metro Detroit is about four hours and the northern Michigan work runs longer, so those dates are worth planning with a little more lead time. Michigan rooms have tended to be smaller and more intimate, often forty to a hundred people, and that is a genuine advantage: at that size everyone in the room can be part of the show rather than watching it happen to someone else.
Formats
December’s hardest booking, done properly. A stage show that keeps a distracted, well-fed, occasionally rowdy room completely with you, and leaves everyone feeling like the company got this one right.
Pair it with strolling magic at the drinks hour and the party starts an hour earlier than the schedule says.
The risk with an awards banquet is that it becomes a reading of names. Interstitial magic resets the room between categories, and the close puts the recognition in context so it lands as meaning rather than admin.
Winners feel genuinely honored, and everyone else stays engaged while they are.
A 45 to 60 minute keynote built on your theme. Mentalism makes the ideas visible, the room stays wide awake, and your message is the thing that gets quoted afterward.
Kickoffs, all-hands, leadership offsites and association conferences.
Michigan cities
Each city page carries its own venues, local clients and testimonials from companies near you.
Local rate, national resume
This show has played corporate stages coast to coast, from a global audit summit in Florida to a city staff day in California, a gala in Montana and conventions in North Carolina and Louisiana. Fortune 500 rooms are a regular part of the calendar.
And every Michigan city on this page is a drive from Cincinnati, not a flight, so Michigan dates book at local rates. Same show, no travel premium.
Questions
Honest answer: several people do good work in Michigan, and the right choice depends on the job. Strolling magic at a reception is a different hire from a keynote that has to carry a company message in front of four hundred people.
This practice is built for the second one. Corporate magic, mentalism and keynote speaking combined, based in Cincinnati and working throughout Michigan, with a client list that runs from Fortune 50 companies to forty-person offices.
Often. Michigan is a drive, not a flight, and the work there has run from Farmington Hills and Dearborn to Clarkston, Traverse City and points north.

Keynotes start at $15,000. Holiday party stage shows, awards banquets and reception magic are quoted on request, because those are genuinely different bookings with different lengths and staging.
Michigan dates are drive dates from Cincinnati, so there is no airfare or travel day in the quote.
Company holiday parties, awards banquets, conference and association keynotes, sales kickoffs, all-hands meetings, customer appreciation nights, safety celebrations and fundraising galas.

Yes. Nothing political, nothing crude, and no one in the audience is the butt of a joke. That is a deliberate design constraint, not a limitation, because a room cannot feel connected while part of it feels got at.
Among them: Oakhurst Golf and Country Club in Clarkston, the City Opera House in Traverse City, Henry Ford College in Dearborn and Sanctuary Ranch.
New rooms are routine, and staging is worked out with your venue before the date.
The difference is what the night is for. Most acts are hired to fill ninety minutes. This is hired to send four hundred people home feeling like the company noticed them, and that has numbers attached: SHRM finds 42 percent of employees in a negative culture are thinking about leaving, against 9 percent where the culture is good.
Culture is not built in one night, but it is made of nights like it.
Yes, nationwide. Recent work includes Florida, California, Montana, North Carolina and Louisiana. Within driving distance of Cincinnati the same show books without a travel premium, which is why the regional calendar is the busiest part of the year.
